WindSGC JSC, which has been implementing construction projects for wind farms with a total capacity of 660 MW since 2016, is included in the NovaWind JSC management structure. In the new business structure, WindSGC JSC is responsible for the design and construction of wind farms as well as production of electric power based on wind energy.
In the second half of 2017, NovaWind JSC opened branches in Volgodonsk, Stavropol and Rostov-on-Don to implement wind power projects.
Construction projects for wind farms with a total capacity of 340 MW that were selected on a competitive basis in 2017 were transferred to WindSGC-2 JSC.
The VetroSGC-2 applications totalling 192,5 MW were selected under the investment project tender for the construction of renewable energy source based generating facilities. The total portfolio of NovaWind JSC is now about 1,2 GW, which corresponds to 35% of the wind energy market in Russia. The submitted applications relate to projects to be commissioned in 2023–2024.
NovaWind JSC is an equal shareholder in a joint venture with a Dutch technology partner – Lagerwey. The Red Wind Joint Venture was established in November 2017. Red Wind B.V. is responsible for turnkey delivery of wind turbines and production of their components in Volgodonsk.. Annual manufacturing facility output totals to 96 wind turbines a year.
