NovaWind JSC has commenced the construction of Kochubeyevskaya Wind Farm in the Stavropol Krai. Total capacity of the second Wind Farm of the ROSATOM Wind Power Division is 210MW. 84 Wind Turbines (WT) 2.5MW each will be installed onsite. Planned average annual output is 496.7 million kWh. The volume of investments in the Wind Farm project exceeds 23 billion rubles.
About 50 pieces of equipment and 100 specialist will be mobilized for the implementation of the Project. Laying out of axes of the temporary access road, site roads and WT plots is ongoing.
The delivery of materials for the installation of foundations has begun. Three concrete mini-plants of total output of concrete mix 320 cubic meters per hours have been mobilized and installed. The construction of the site camp with the installation of reinforcement shops is ongoing. Activities on the static testing of bored piles have begun in the WT foundations for evaluation of the soil bearing capacity.
“In prospect, the Stavropol Krai may become a key region for the construction of our Wind Farms. Here, we expect to build about 400 MW of wind power. It is important to note, that at the Adygea site we faced eleven out of ten possible risks, but precisely because of the obstacles, today, when the work begins at the Kochubeyevskaya Wind Farm, we are prepared for many problems, and we already have a great head start with potential solutions”, said Alexander Korchagin, CEO of NovaWind JSC.
