On 4 September, the Board of Directors of JSC Atomenergoprom decided to participate in the creation of Joint Stock Company, NovaWind.
The charter capital of JSC NovaWind will be 1.101 billion shares, nominally 1 RUR per share.
JSC Atomenergoprom will become the owner of 100 % of shares of the newly established company upon its state registration.
JSC NovaWind is to consolidate the wind power generating assets of the State Corporation Rosatom. Currently a subsidiary of Rosatom, JSC VetroSGC is implementing projects for construction of wind power stations with a total power of 970 MW and is starting to implement the largest Russian program for localizing the manufacture of wind turbines designed for sale on both the Russian and international markets. The solution of these tasks and the future development of the sector require complete concentration of the management team’s efforts on implementation of this greater than 80 billion RUR project and the establishment of the wind power industry as a separate business activity of the State Corporation Rosatom.
