In accordance with the document ENERCON will purchase Lagerwey shares. This strategically important transaction will strengthen ENERCON's position in the coastal wind turbine market in all segments.
For now, Lagerwey will continue to operate as an independent company under its own brand, but will interact closely with ENERCON in areas where maximum synergy can be achieved. Lagerwey's affiliation with ENERCON will allow Lagerwey to expand its capabilities through ENERCON's manufacturing base, procurement system and its advanced sales network.

ENERCON Managing Director Hans-Dieter Kettwig said, “The strategic partnership with Lagerwey provides a great opportunity to strengthen our market positions by expanding our range of products with competitive and reliable wind turbines. We view Lagerwey as an ideal technological partner with an experienced and competent team.”

Lagerwey CEO Huib Morelisse said, “The investment of ENERCON, a leader in direct-drive wind turbine technology, in our company shows recognition of our high technology and the innovative capabilities of our team. As part of ENERCON, we will share ENERCON's strong positions in the market allowing us to promote our technologies.”

Lagerwey will continue to fulfill its obligations under agreements previously reached with JSC NovaWind and together with its Russian partner will continue to implement its program of localization and production of wind turbines in Russia. In turn, ENERCON will work with JSC NovaWind not only on setting up a wind farm in Adygea, but also in subsequent projects.
